Being able to hit your irons consistently – to predict their ball flight and distance – is an improvement that will lower your scores while making approach play a lot more fun. But adding distance and accuracy to your irons is also one of the most difficult improvements to make. Callaway knows this, and it’s why they’ve built their new Great Big Bertha Irons out of titanium, a material usually reserved for drivers.
Titanium is lighter and flexes more at impact than steel. Using titanium enabled Callaway to free up 96 grams of clubhead weight and to create a thinner face. They then inserted the most tungsten they’ve ever put into one of their irons (133% more than the Rogue ST Max), to create the deepest CG in a Callaway iron, ever.
Iron play should be exciting, not intimidating. We want you to feel confident pulling any iron out of the bag. A fitting with the new Great Big Bertha Irons is one massive step in that direction. Request a fitting below.
